Two men went out to build their own houses.
The first man was wise. He spent time planning carefully before he started. He wanted a house that was safe and strong, even when strong winds or heavy rain came. He understood that the foundation is the most important part of any building. A strong foundation helps the whole house stay firm.
After looking around, he found a large, flat rock. He decided to build his house on the rock. It took time and effort, but when storms came, his house stayed solid. The wind blew and the rain poured, but he was safe inside.
The second man was foolish. He didn’t think much before building. He found a smooth, sandy place and started right away. The sand moved easily, but he ignored it.
When a storm came, the wind and rain were strong. The house on the sand began to shake and finally collapsed. The foolish man lost his home because it had no strong foundation.
