Discussion during the meal time
1 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. 2 They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. 3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. 5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”………
So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all…” (Mark 2:1-6,11-12)
Instruction for group facilitators ( dinner time is 6.15-7.00pm)
- Let the students to eat first for the first 15 min. talk casually with them
- The students have studied the bible story at 5pm. Ask one student to retell the story. Get other students to add on what is/ are missed in the storytelling
- Get one student to spin the wheel. Show the question to everyone. Give 30 seconds for every student to think. Get the student who spined to give the answer (2 min).
- Students take turn to spin, think (30sec) and share (2 min). spin the wheel at least 2 rounds for each student to have at least 2 chances to share.
- Check with students whether they want to have a WISER
